Should I Write the Message in a Paper Airplane?

This morning I got a headache because of our neighbor at the back of our village who had a noisy party till 1 a.m. They were mostly men as I heard from their very loud voices talking together as if they were already drunk! Their house is at the back of our house but they are living in another subdivision. A peripheral wall separates our subdivision from theirs. I could not sleep well, also my husband. I thought of making a paper airplane with a note in it saying they should respect their neighbor! They can have a party but they should not be so noisy especially if it is already past midnight! I can hurl the paper plane above the wall separating our houses. Or I will call the security guard of their subdivision and ask for the number of their homeowner's president so I can complain. But I doubt it because they do not have a good homeowners' association compared to our own which is very efficient in attending to the needs of the residents here. What do you think of the paper airplane?

I'd send the paper airplane. At least it will make you feel better! Or wrap a note round a brick and hurl that over.

Yes,I like your suggestion. But I will use a cardboard so it will land at their yard.

You need a stronger, harsher approach. Paper planes are way too romantic for a bunch of drunks.

They're no longer drunk now! Or maybe they are at work or in their business because it is too silent in their house now.So I can throw my paper plane in their yard!

I doubt it'll even reach them.

It will reach them, I can see their backyard when I step on a high ladder or high chair. Our house is located in an elevated area and their house is below. But there is a high concrete wall that separates the two subdivisions.

I doubt the paper airplane would do any good.. Is their partying a regular occurrence? If it is, it may well be worth complaining.

It is very rare; though they talk in loud voices, like almost shouting. So they were too noisy!

Some people have no respect to others. In my place we have an ordinance prohibiting such kind of noises by 10 pm, sometimes effectively observed though there are few neighnors neglect this.

In our own village, it is observed; everyone respects each other, but they belong to another subdivision.

Inconsiderate neighbors! No - the paper plane won't have much if any impact.

I will still call their homeowners' president; or their security guard.

they won't even notice it if they are drunk.. if they do, maybe they can't read it properly just call the guard next time

I would toss it the morning after, when the houseowners are no longer drunk. They might read it and get the message.

We do not know them; we are separated by a very high concrete wall, and we have to pass through the other gate or the village to meet them; and apparently they are almost out of the house during the day.

I think that I would have called the police. No one is allowed to disturb the neighbors after 11 pm here.

Maybe or maybe not...we don't know how this people will react so...I guess maybe you are not the only one who has experience this nightmare, talk to your other neighbors about it come to an idea or agreement then present them to homeowners group to act and warn them...if not to your LGU officers in charge...just a suggestion my friend, might help a bit...

We do not want to talk to people like that who apparently do not know what good manners are! It would be futile; we will just let them know we are disturbed and annoyed whenever they have such a party in their house that lasts up to 1 a.m.!
