Was overcharged at the store yet again...

I went to my local supermarket yesterday and after doing the self-checkout and looking over the receipt I noticed that two of my items were rung up incorrectly. The small garbage bags were priced at $2.39 on the shelf yet I was charged $2.69 for them. The green pepper was supposed to cost me $1 because the shelf said 10 for $10 but it rung up as 4 for $5 and hence cost me $1.25. I was owed a total of 55 cents. No way was I going to leave the store without getting my money back. First, I went to the aisle where each item was and took a pic of the item with the price tag. Then, I went to customer service but it was closed, so I went up to a cashier and told him my issue. He went to get someone to come and give me my money back. I had to wait a while before someone came over though. And when the they finally did they had trouble processing my refund. It took longer than it should have but in the end I got my money back, though they refunded me in cash when they were supposed to put money back on my credit card, which was my original form of payment. I guess they didn't bother checking the receipt to see how I paid. They could have at least asked me what my payment method was. I was not happy with this and was gonna say something but as long as I got my 55 cents back that's all that mattered.

I hate when that happens, and more so when the service desk is closed. thankfully here, we can go back the next day if we see something wrong with the receipt. but then, we also live out back so it's easy to do. glad you got your money back, even if it was by cash - again.

I was glad that I was able to get my money back even though the customer service was closed. If I had to leave the store and come back to get my money it would not be worth it because I'd have to pay $2.75 to get there by bus and same to get back home. Or I'd have to walk more than an hour each way (if I were to avoid the bus fare). Neither would be worth it.

We don't use the self-checkout as we think they are just trying to cut down on staff. Soon there won't be work for anyone. And I couldn't deal with checking stuff and following through. But to each his own of course.

The store gets so much money by overcharging that they donĀ“t care about the few people who do the right thing and ask for a return. Good for you!

I hate using the self-checkout. They have given me the wrong change several times and charged the wrong price at others.
