Hanging bridge because it is literally hanging along the river. When you walk throught it is swaying as like a hammock. If you have fear of heights or dizzy maybe you shouldn't try crossing it. The good thing is that you all have the fun. You see below river flowing beautifully. The surrounding pristine and serene. And if you live life of adventurism, this is it. Hanging bridge in my place usually made from cable wires extended to both sides. Slabs of woods made as flooring. It is usually constructed as temporary bridge to expensive cemented bridge. Usually, hanging bridge can usually be found in rural village. Photo is mine

Very scary but kids will just run on it as fas as they can and that's it, while we oldies, could hardly walk, and almost crawling. LOL

@MALUSE if some oldies don't have fear of heights, then it is good for them. I have a little fear of heights nowadays or bridge without handrailing on both sides.

I don't think that this has anything to do with age but with fear of heights. Some have it, same don't.

Yup. Just had an experience walking through a hanging bridge two weeks ago. We we're visiting my Aunt's farm. It was scary at first, but you get the hang of it eventually.

I rarely see them in my home province anymore. Most are already either concrete ones or wooden but not hanging. I would like to experience that of course. I like trying new things always and so far I am not that afraid of heights.

We also have this kind of bridges here but most of them are from the tourism spots. I must say that I feel afraid to walk on it and I have to hold it tight and walk slowly. Besides, I beg others not to shake the hanging bridges

It all depends I would say as there are some hanging bridges much much higher up and very flimsy. I saw a woman the other week being made to walk up a flight of wooden stairs that were sort of built into the mountain side and I thought it was so silly of them to make her cross that bridge and go up those very dangerous stairs and they did not rid her of her fear instead they made her worse. I was working in a place that had such a bridge across a beautiful river and I was not afraid of it at all.

@ilocosboy Exactly there is no merit in risking your own life. There are other ways around such fears and one of them is not what they tried out on that poor lady. She was trembling and shaking with fear and I felt so for her.

The hanging bridge in my photo is a secured one but there kinds of flimsy in some areas here especially in remote place. They shouldn't force anyone to cross, simply its dangerous.

the hanging bridge in the picture that you shared is not the usual hanging bridge where the cable ropes are really hanging. this bridge is very safe to walk on, and maybe it is just not so high, unlike one hanging bridge where down below was a very deep ravine or precipice.
