Beautiful Rome

All my high expectations of Rome were met when I visited this beautiful city.
It was good to have a hotel right in the middle as everything was on walking distance to all the important places that I wanted to see. I saw the world famous Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Forums, some villas for private viewing, beautiful basilicas, Via Nazionale promenade and a whole lot more.
It is full of history, loved the old water wells, very handy to everyone.
I definitely would come back again!

@vickyrose Santorini is not Italy, it's Greece, the rest is Italy. 
We have high mountains in the North (the Alps), but also in the center the Appennini can be pretty high mountains.

@LadyDuck oh, thanks for correcting my mistake! You are right. Our cruise started from Piraeus in Greece, then to Santorini. ;)

I have, Anna. Italy is a very beautiful country. It’s more mountainous than I thought. I visited the islands of Santorini and Sicily, Genoa and Livorno as well.

Yes, it’s a very beautiful country, the Italian food is so nice. I also enjoyed the ice cream called gelato.

There were many stories about theft and pickpocketers. We avoided the long queues and visited on a Sunday. We were extra careful and fortunate not to lose anything on this month long trip.
