She would be the one to bear the child that would continue my family line. So, I guess I've always known it. My family line, atleast on this side, have always been hard headed know it alls. Who, for the most part, did really "know it all" Oh, and the inclination towards religion isn't a new thing either... Ah, and the King? Charles I *I'm not the one doing the research for this family line, so I do not know much*

I am not the one doing the research, but the one who is keeps us updated on what he finds. I delve a little deeper where I can, or get more information where he didn't elaborate. One of our ancestors was born on the ocean. Another one stepped out on his marriage and had children by another woman. Though, had the man not done that, we wouldn't be alive today.

@RubyHawk My grandfather does the research for his father's side. His brother did research for his mother's side at one point in time. I do some occasional research on my father's side. I've also submitted an ancestrydna test and know that , atleast according to it, I am 30% Irish and 42% British.

@Poppylicious I've only found a little bit of information, but I will try to delve a little deeper soon. I believe my ancestor (Thomas Bradley) had published some constroversial things of the time. I'd also like to know more about the circumstances of him falling out of favor with the King.

It's fun to know your origin. The history can be an answer to some questions we have.
