Japanese Player Naomi Osaka had a great victory when she beat superstar and many times Grand Slam events winner Serena Williams by 6-2,6-4 in the US Open Tennis final in New York City. However, the match was marked by unpleasantness. Serena Williams was penalized by the umpire Carlos Ramos for racquet smashing and another code violation. She was penalized a game by umpire. Serena turned angry and even called the umpire a thief. While Serena graciously congratulated her opponent after the match, she refused to shake hands with umpire Carlos after the match. I wonder if the umpire was too harsh or if the player got carried away a bit too much.

she was trying to make a point. If a male gender does this.Okay.But a woman not.She was right. It was sad as this took away the wonderful Naomi Osaka her glorious win. Everyone concentrate on Serena. This took away the lime light on Naomi.Very sad. Serena or the Umpire ruined it

@youless I too want sporting events which do not generate such controversies.

It's very sad that the match ended this way. It should have been a wonderful day for Osaka had she won in other circumstances but instead she was very upset about being booed after. It wasn't her fault.
