Have you ever taken or considered taking a vacation from Mylot since joining? I have been here for almost three years - and left twice. Once for a week in order to complete an order for my business - and the second time I was off for 20 days because of internet problems. On both occasions I was anxious to be back , so maybe mylot is my vacation spot. What do you think about taking a vacation from the internet on a whole - how long could you last? How would you fill your time?

I am here on and off when we go away travelling but apart for those times I don't really have any wish to be away from myLot. It's become the place where many of my friends 'live'.

@Kandae11 That's true. I've been lucky in that regard. I really miss the people here when we're travelling.

I regularly go on an online detox and when I do I do not go online here in myLot. Other times, life happens and I have no choice but to put myLot in the back burner.

@Kandae11 true. Sometimes though, I just want to myLot the whole day and not have a care about the real world.

Yes, myLot is my place to relax. If it gets too much then I decrease my discussions or deal with lighter subjects where I don't have to think too much.

The only time I was away from myLot for a vacation was two years ago when I went on a holiday and didn't have any computer access. I didn't have a laptop at the time, and my phone didn't have Internet access, so I was completely technology free. It felt good, but only for a couple of days. They were full days. We went to Washington Island, my friend and me, and spent three days discovering everything about the island and had a terrific time. Here is a picture from my vacation to Washington Island. This picture was taken from the top of a tower overlooking the island.

Those colors are awesome ! what a blend. We could live without the internet - we did before - but it would be exiremely difficult, because this is a different age, a different time. So much is bound up in the internet.

I have taken a lot of breaks from myLot - not intentionally though. Life just takes over sometimes, if not often, and I have to tend to it. I know that I can get a lot done by staying off the computer - but I know I'd have to sneak in to take a peek - I don't like to miss out .

I have been absent when we are away and have not been around much for the past few weeks, so I guess that is a vacation of sorts. I would be at a loss in a way without internet.

@Kandae11 I would say I joined My Lot over two years ago now and when I first joined I left and cannot remember why. When I came back I am here except when days or periods of time I cannot be. I enjoy being here and interacting and getting to know people here. I have met some very good people that I call friends here.

I've taken a break from Mylot a lot of times. I usually leave for a couple of months and then come back. I'm not the most active user on here, but it's always fun to return to mylot. It's been a long time since I've taken a break from the internet. I don't think I've even taken a break since I was able to get internet on my phone.

Usually, on weekends I am not here, because I go to our hometown to at least have my share of taking care of our recovering from stroke mother. Though sometimes, I would come here when my mother is asleep for a long time.

@Kandae11 Oh yes, we are very hopeful of that. Her right paralyzed body can now feel pain. She is arthritic that is why. She just cannot speak yet, although she can now laugh our loud with a sound unlike on the first 3 months after she had her stroke.
