An Indian Blessing

I live in a trailer park in Florida. The manager of the place told me years ago that the park will never completely flood because of an old Indian blessing. I should have asked more questions because I don't know the details of how this came about.
Do you think an Indian blessing is real? Have you ever heard of such a thing?

I live in a trailer park too, but in NC. I haven't heard of this. But I know here there is a mountain that protects us.

i heard the first time about it but it also depend on who gave a blessing. I believe in spirituality. we all are blessed by God and sometimes they showed it too. there are many things which people can't believe but it's upto them who want to believe it or not.

the blessing may be real, the question is really as to whether or not it works which is more doubtful

@arthurchappell You can laugh, but matters of the spirit have an impact on our lives.

We have not had a flood here that anyone can remember. It might be the geology of the place.
Certain streets flood in heavy rain because the park management paved over the ditches that drained the rainwater away. We have heavy rain here, we can get a few inches in an afternoon storm.
I like to think that it works. Of course, the real blessing comes from God through the Indian.

I've never heard of Indian blessings at all, but I think most rituals work because of placebo and superstition due to coincidences.
Was it Indian from India or from indigenous (Native American) culture?

@akalinus How do you think rituals work? I'd like to hear your opinion too.

@sabtraversa I don't know how to describe it. Thoughts direct the energy of the earth to new directions. Bad thoughts invite bad things into your life and good thoughts make good things happen. Try to watch the DVD called The Secret. That tells more about it.

Never underestimate Mother Nature!! Blessings or curses don't phase her.

They can change the conditions that steer the storm. Florence is heading more south and west now. It puts Georgia in danger as well as the Carolinas. If everyone concentrated their energy, they might be able to make it go out to sea instead. But, I don't think it will happen.

@akalinus I believe in curses and blessings. They can influence our life.

@Shivram59 It sounds like that was not a coincidence. I don't know how much believing that it will come true will make it so.

@akalinus This is just one example.I have read about many such incidents. The one thing I know is that the universe we live in is mysterious and what we know about it is just the tip of an iceberg.
