An Indian Blessing

I live in a trailer park in Florida. The manager of the place told me years ago that the park will never completely flood because of an old Indian blessing. I should have asked more questions because I don't know the details of how this came about. Do you think an Indian blessing is real? Have you ever heard of such a thing?

I haven't heard of such a thing but I've been reading about the huge hurricane heading for your county. I do hope you'll be safe. Are the trailers tied down so hopefully they can't be blown over?

Mine is supposed to be. At least from underneath. Two places blew down during hurricane Irma. It is scary.

It looks like the monster hurricane is going to miss us in Florida and hit the Carolinas. Praying for those people.

It looks like we’re stuck with our old furniture. I’ve thought about asking the thrift store if they would come pick them up. I might snap a picture so they could see them.

I hope it does not either. We are not near the water but it rains heavily here during the summer and we get much rain when a hurricane goes through.

@just4him It hasn't so far. When we get too much, there is water standing but in an hour, most of it is all gone.

I live in a trailer park too, but in NC. I haven't heard of this. But I know here there is a mountain that protects us.

i heard the first time about it but it also depend on who gave a blessing. I believe in spirituality. we all are blessed by God and sometimes they showed it too. there are many things which people can't believe but it's upto them who want to believe it or not.

Apparently, someone here showed kindness to an Indian and he blessed the place. I wish I had paid more attention and asked some questions.

There could be but with blessings being given there are also conditions to be met or kept for the blessing to continue.

This area has not flooded in anyone's memory going back many years. I wondered if there could be something to it.

@akalinus I don't believe in blessings and curses. The area I live in has never flooded. It would be hard to flood here, Our complex in on a hill side.

the blessing may be real, the question is really as to whether or not it works which is more doubtful

We have not had a flood here that anyone can remember. It might be the geology of the place. Certain streets flood in heavy rain because the park management paved over the ditches that drained the rainwater away. We have heavy rain here, we can get a few inches in an afternoon storm. I like to think that it works. Of course, the real blessing comes from God through the Indian.

I've never heard of Indian blessings at all, but I think most rituals work because of placebo and superstition due to coincidences. Was it Indian from India or from indigenous (Native American) culture?

@akalinus How do you think rituals work? I'd like to hear your opinion too.

@sabtraversa I don't know how to describe it. Thoughts direct the energy of the earth to new directions. Bad thoughts invite bad things into your life and good thoughts make good things happen. Try to watch the DVD called The Secret. That tells more about it.

It was Native American. I don't agree with your thoughts about rituals but it's okay. I like hearing about what other people think.

They can change the conditions that steer the storm. Florence is heading more south and west now. It puts Georgia in danger as well as the Carolinas. If everyone concentrated their energy, they might be able to make it go out to sea instead. But, I don't think it will happen.

Yes, I believe that they do, also. It is the change in the energy surrounding these thoughts.

@Shivram59 It sounds like that was not a coincidence. I don't know how much believing that it will come true will make it so.

@akalinus This is just one example.I have read about many such incidents. The one thing I know is that the universe we live in is mysterious and what we know about it is just the tip of an iceberg.
