Update on my Kindle 2

The Kindle battery came earlier than expected which was great. Yesterday I got it and put the battery in. I left it to charge. I tried to reset it a few hours later, but it wouldn't reset all the way. So I charged it overnight thinking it would reset all the way this morning. This morning it did the same thing. I had seen a message board post about debricking a kindle so that is what I am trying now. It takes a few hours. If it doesn't work I will have to buy a newer version from Ebay. The one I would like to get is Kindle 8th generation. Another update: the debricking didn't work.

Debricking is not always possible, I hope it will work.

@JESSY3236 Sorry to read that, if it does not reset it might be a hardware problem impossible to fix by yourself. It is time to buy another one.

@topffer yeah I have been afraid of that. I'm glad it lasted a long time though.

Throw a brick at it! NO! Don't just kidding. You probably need the newer version. And, keep a brick ready...as always just kidding.

@gofsey I have felt like throwing a brick at it. I really needed it this weekend. I'm hoping next week I will order a newer version.

Oh gosh what a bother Jessica! I surely hope this will resolve. I know you have been trying to fix it for a while.
