I actually missed this one out and ran straight from book 6 to book 8. Doh!
Spoiler alerts
Seeking the new leader of the evil Vampaneze rivals to the benevolent vampires, Darren Shan & his Master, Mr Crepsley, are joined by a vampire assassin, Vancha March, who likes to kill with his bare hands. His skin is sunburnt red as he is trying to make himself immune to its vampire burning effects.
Stumbling on a Vampaneze camp, the allies attack, but some Vampaneze escape, including their leader who has disguised himself as Vancha's brother so the killer won't attack him.
The heroes retreat to plan their next move.

There are some very nice touches in this series. Good vampires. A sunburned vampire. I'm tempted to read it.

Well, always being alone at night does not make me want to befriend vampires but the stories do fascinate me. I little early for Monster Mash but I do enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
