New iPhone due - will you stand in queue?

I've heard of many people standing in queue for hours to get their new iPhone on the day it is launched. I wonder where they get their patience from! I could never do that. I usually buy my phone online many months after it is released when there is a price drop!
Have you ever stood in a queue on day one to get a phone?

I didn't stand in queue. I didn't have to. I have a platinum account in my telecom and I get an iPhone every single year without having to take a queue since I am one of their priority customers. So yes, I have the latest iPhone at the moment.

nope, I will never ever do that. I did it for a kilo of sugar and rice when we had shortage before.

@pitstop yes, we had a hard time before when we need to stand up in queue for a long time just to get a kilo of sugar or rice

In a word, no. I think the last time I stood in line to get something the moment it was out was tickets to see the Pretenders in Honolulu, in 1984.
