Hurricanes are not something to ignore so it's good to hear that your friend heeded the advice and left.

She is a smart person and also was a police officer. I never experienced a hurrican. I have experienced an earthquake, tornado and being with out electricity in the winter and it is not much fun. I can imagine what a hurricane is like.

You are welcome and I hope you are not in the direct path. Take care.

I totally agree. Being near a hurricane is not fun. I've been in the "outer bands" and "remnants" of several but have never been in a "direct hit." The "fringes" were bad enough!

I am glad you survived the fringes of a hurricane. That does not sound like fun either.

Thanks Judy and I got an e-mail and saw it this morning. I asked her to let me know that she made it safe and sound and to let me know how she is doing. It is horrible. I am glad she had a car to pack up her animals, stuff and her cousin and herself to leave in.
