Moving Once Again

Picture is from the house in Inverness

This morning we decided to go into Inverness to take a really good look at the house to see what needed to be done if we were to move back. There were a few things, many of them things that we would do before moving back in. I picked out some paint colors for the different rooms and we made plants for the bathrooms to put up bars on the wall to help with my balance. The hubby will be doing most of these things himself. The air conditioning will have to be done by a professional. That will definitely have to be done right away. It looks like we will be moving back in. I am not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand I don't like living in Summerfield as much as I did a few years ago but on the other hand I have a few unhappy memories in Inverness. I guess the best thing to go is where it is the best for us and try to make some new, happy memories. Actually when you get right down to it, as long as the hubby is there I will be happy.

I don't know your Inverness but I've been to the original one in Scotland. It's the cultural centre of the Scottish Highlands. Does yours also have such a nice castle? :-)

@MALUSE I have also been to the original Inverness and it's beautiful. I think that this Inverness is in Florida.

@HazySue You go back to a place you know, it's not a totally new experience.

I have friends there that I have kept in touch with so I know some of my neighbors-to-be.

It's good you have an alternative place to go with your mobility issues.

@just4him No, it has been lived in by my mother and her friend for most of the time. She needed somewhere to live without having to pay rent. For a short period of time two of my daughters lived there.

It's a good thing I never sold that house. I bought it 26 years ago because I liked to openness of it. I have lived a total of about 6 years in all that time.

It will. I refuse to keep moving back and forth. We are going to sell this house in Summerfield.

@Hannihar Even though my husband does almost all of the work it does take a lot out of me.

@HazySue I cannot blame you for not wanting to move back and forth. That really takes a lot out of a person.

I will have to take a picture of the whole house and put it on here. It is cute but unfortunately there are a few bad memories attached to it. I will work to get rid of them.

I love the blue shutters on the window. It looks like a white bungalow which is very pretty. The row of plants looks charming. It is best to make new happy memories. I only went to Scotland once in my lifetime.

I love the colors also. It is a nice open floorplan. I am sure we will settle down and make some happy memories.

I am sure we will be happy. We are both familiar with the house and have already started making plans to make our selves at home.

As long as you’re together, a house will be a home. :)

Yes, it's the company you're with that makes a place habitable or not - at least to some degree.
