Hello everyone.Surely some here has one.
Mine was my kid field trip.We went to see Old Ironside at Boston,MA
I chaperone for the kids in my daughter class.
We took the bus down.Imagine a bus full of kid 6th grader.
One good thing was there wan't any cell phone. This was a plus
We had a great time on the ship there.Gave a lecture on ole ironside that has been around for years.
Have you ever taken a field trip with kids while in school?

There are two places in my county that are perfect for children to visit. When I was in school, and especially when I was in grade school, we went to these two places atleast once a year. One is Sciworks, which is self explanatory. A science museum for kids.
The other is Old Salem, which is a museum now, but was once a Moravian settlement.
I've not played chaperone to any field trips.

@amadeo North Carolina, not Massacushetts.
The city is now Winston- Salem. "Old Salem Museum and Gardens" is the place where "Salem" used to be, though I'm sure it might have extended further back in the day.

I've taken classes on several field trips. My favorite as a teacher was a trip we took to the NC Zoo with a group of kids from Mt Olive. Most of them had never been outside Wayne County. They were so excited to go and behaved so well while we were there. I will never forget their excitement.

I went on every field trip that I could with my kids. That was a lot with six children.

My favorite field trip in Elementary School was to the Planetarium. I loved learning about the stars in the sky.

That sounds like a great field trip as well as interesting. I've never chaperoned a field trip for school kids

I remember seeing Old Ironside the oldest commissioned ship in the Navy (still at last count from the time I visited on a month long "field trip" with thirteen other college students and two sponsors) Saw many historical sites from across the country in that month camping in KOA camps and putting on puppets shows.

Mine was an 8th grade trip to the zoo and we combined two groups together and it was just 8 of us, a friend's mom and my favorite teacher and it was just amazing. I also had a duck just come up to me and sit in my lap, so I was pretty happy. We also go to pet an ocelot. And a llama spat on a girl we didn't like. It was a good time haha!

Oh undoubtedly the best field trip was to the local airport whereupon we had a tour of the contol tower, but the best thing was that one of our classmate's dad's had a private plane and he took groups of us kids up. People weren't as afraid of liability issues as they are now..too bad, different world. We also went to the zoo when I was in first grade, and maybe second too. That was a lot of fun.

I was 11 years old and my dad took me on his 'route'---DC, Philadelphia and Baltimore--I would stay in the hotel after he took me sightseeing and order room service (he had a fit when he would see the bills!)
It was years later I found out he would go see his 'women'! LOL

I recall going on many when I was in grammar school in San Antonio. We went to a junior ballet performance, to different old Spanish missions and to San Antonio Institute of Technology, where they demonstrated a microwave oven in about 1951 or so. The were introduced for home use in 1967 for about $500.

Yes, I've taken many field trips while in school. My favorite was going to NYC to see a play on Broadway and then out to lunch. The best part of that day was seeing Soupy Sales, the DJ/radio personality waving to us from an open window in his building. What fun it was to talk to him.
