Well living alone should be after college when you start working. But now I have a family, almost forty and my job is not location flexible.

Yes it is. In the meantime,we make do with what we have. We may even realize that isn't what we want after all. The Sim also get lonely or low on social. It can be solved by chatting online or asking friends over.
