Lost!

What do you think when you saw that heading, 'Lost'?
I was thinking of the seat I sometimes lost to other passengers on the morning trains heading to work . It is funny really, not like I owned those trains, those carriages or anything, yet, most weekdays I would get on that specific train at exactly that time, and sit just right there on that empty train.
A few times now (out of several months), those morning trains suddenly got crowded. (And that was when I lost those seats to some strangers .)
The good news is, I have finished with that contract for good, so from now on, I will not take that train heading that way (A) again ever (I will head another way (B) instead ). Just wondering, who is going to take 'my seat" to A from now on?
Any new change lately in your world? I think I am on a new phase (work related) from now on. Instead of working for three bosses in one go, I now keep that to only one (temporarily). I am hoping to have more rest, let see...
Have you ever worked for more than one workplace before? I felt like I had lived three life times in one go (one at each workplace). Energy consuming but I have learned lots in the last several months. (Now I am back to living just one life at a time .)

I was thinking of the TV show Lost. I'm sure that many different people will sit where you sat and wonder who sat there before.

My first thought was the old t,v. show. Then not being able to find how to get somewhere.

No changes in my world at all. But i'mg getting more crafty recently. I will try to attach one of the greeting cards I made.
As what comes to my mind when I see the word 'lost?' The tv show Lost suddenly comes into my mind.

@YrNemo It was a the beginning. I got hooked because of the mystery of the island. But the ending got me oh so disappointed.

That would be very hard, I don't think I can last at least doing jobs alone.

You would be surprised when you were put in a situation . You heard of stories when some handicaps (with a bad foot), suddenly jumped and climbed over a high fence in record time when got chased by an aggressive dog? I must have been pressured the same way .

In my case, it was more like Monday&Tuesday, worked for A, Wednesday for B, Thursday&Friday for C, that sort of thing. I couldn't work more than that, and those companies were happy with whatever time I could offer them. (Their staff, the ones who just got some urgent surgeries, had all returned. Now I am working more days for just B .)

For me it was the t.v. show "Lost" that I immediately thought of. @YrNemo I also thought about time lost travelling, but if it was to work then it was at least for a good reason. I don't know how you managed 3 jobs. I hope you take it easier now.

@bluesa I just argued in a friendly manner) to the current boss when they miscalculated my pay. They must have underpaid me for a while now (by a few hundred $). Oh well, at least now things are clear (have no intention to claim that money back, they are training me right now, I should have paid them $ for that instead .)

Looking back, I don't know how I managed to cope. As a result, I saw one workplace had stuff up my paperwork, resulting in me losing about $300. Can't do a thing about it really, since I trusted them to do the paperwork right. Now that workplace won't be in a hurry to hire me again after I pointed out their unforgivable mistake (and neither would I be keen to go back there in a hurry).

Just one at a time, more than that will be too confusing and stressful I think

I am very pleased to tell you that these days, I have claimed another new seat for myself, in the last carriage of another train heading another direction .

I think of the tv show Lost. My mother lost her debit card. I haven't lost anything lately. The only thing changed here is that I changed litters for my cat.

I think some people on a certain train platform here at a particular time of the morning, thought I got on a wrong train on certain days since I had to take 3 different trains to 3 different places. Glad that I confuse them no more, only one direction for the time being.

You are or was much more busy than me. I go to the YMCA 5 days a week for some exercise but spend the rest of the days home, doing little things and painting a lot - many hours. My husband is around doing his own thing as I do mine, but thankfully he does all the cooking in my house and I love that. I do the dishes.. We are old... when younger we were much more busy with work but I never had to go anywhere on a train....That sounds like fun, more fun that driving everywhere...

I have discussed this often with friends. See, here is the thing: if I drove, it would take me 15-20 mins to take the car out and to close the big gates (very finicky), and another 40 mins to drive, plus 10 mins to park the car as perfect as it could be (I am a perfectionist in parking my car since I am a hopeless case in this matter! ).
As it is, it takes me 1.5 hours to get there with some simple walking and observing people or mylot on the train/reading the news etc. (A bus waits at the train station and drops me off close to work).
By the way, commuting to work like this, is cheaper by half too.
