Wife appreciation day

Mother's day, Father's Day, Friendship Day and......so many more. In this world of social media, these celebrations are gaining more and more popularity.
We never had such celebration as we were growing up. We valued relationship each day.
Today morning I read one blog on momspresso and I came to know of this new thing.... today is Wife appreciation day and husbands are supposed to appreciate their wives on this day for all that they do for the family.
Where is it going to end?? I find such things insane or maybe I am wrong.. Don't you need to appreciate your spouse every now and then??
Or will you wait for a specific day to do so??

I find that the whole world is going insane over these celebrations and especially social media promotes it like a viral. This day is still new to most but soon it might pick up popularity and a business model. We already have Valentine Day to express our love to our spouses and partners.

Maybe it is because the husband should give the wife a special day, where the wife will not work chores at home, but just be treated special and have dinner outside with the husband and family.
Though, he may have given her an expression of love everyday, then maybe this day will be made so special since this is a Wife Appreciation Day.
We don't have this kind of day here though.

I have not heard it so far. It was mentioned in one of the blogs that I randomly read. Wives can be treated special like that on several days.

I feel everyone human should be appreciated for their efforts. Be it a wife, mother, sister, brother, father, colleague.........one deserves to be appreciated and we do not have to wait for a special day to do so.
