Country's Inflation Problems or Typhoon Omphong?

Why are we so focused on the country's problems that we tend to forget the things that we are blessed for? I keep on seeing these memes on the internet about our vegetable prices going up. Chili, for example, is a necessary spice but most of the common people nowadays cannot afford to buy it due to inflation. I feel sad because most of our fellow citizens cannot but necessary cooking ingredients and viand for the family everyday compare before. There are some mixed reactions. Some would take it negatively and rant towards the government. Some takes it as a laughing stock and some are saying that inflation really comes once in awhile and it is inevitable. It suddenly came to my mind that at the very least, we are still able to survive one of the biggest storms in history, which is Ompong. They've said that Ompong is two times stronger than Yolanda (or more powerful, just to put it that way). I was thinking we should be thankful that almost everybody is safe and do not just focus in the inflation problems of our country. What do you think shoukd be the people's reaction towards this and do you think they should prepare for the worst to come? If you were in our country as a Filipino, how woukd you react towards this and why? I need your insights as me myself I don't know what to feel nowadays.

The sooner this sorry-excuse for a President is replaced, the better for our country.

I think the problem with this administration is it tried to fix something that ain't broke, our economy was doing fine so they should have just continued what the past administration was doing but instead they chose to introduce laws like TRAIN with no good study, it's already bad but they won't admit their mistake and still push TRAIN 2 I think we should be ready and prepared for an economic crisis, rising prices, food shortages etc.. And also be prepared for natural calamities at the same time like what had just experienced, right we should be thankful we survived but we should always be prepared for the next and improve disaster response. In fairness to our Government, I think they did a good job on this aspect and we could further improve it.

You make a very good point. No matter what area of the world we're in, we should be thankful that we survived a storm. I think that's human nature though,I think for most, even though you may be thankful, you just want everything to go back to how it was before. I could see why people would be upset, to me raising prices so high on items like that is just wrong. The only thing that I think I would do, is stretch the spices out as far as I can, even if I had to use less then I normally do.
