The Moon at the Zenith

There is a senior citizen in our home for the aged and his name is Sukesh Haldar. Sukesh means having good hair. Unfortunately, he has very little hair left on his head. So, once in a while I ask him jokingly, "Your name is Sukesh but where is all the kesh(hair) gone?" He answers," I'm seventy. The years have taken it little by little." But, these days you'll find even young men in their twenties or thirties with a moon at their top. Quite many start developing it at the back of their skull, though getting bald at the front is not uncommon. What might be the causes. I hear people say it's because of the adulterated food and pollution in the air. But we see bald-headed men even in places where food is healthier and air less polluted. It can also be hereditary, I presume. Do you see many men with a moon at their zenith?

Yes, there are a lot of them here. Now Vince is starting to get a moon at his zenith too!

Very entertaining post! My son-in-law, 34. His hairs on the sides of his forehead seem to be receding, like two-ways Red sea parting.

I know of lots of young men with early balding, but I don't think that its unique to their generation. I remember having great uncles who used to say that they went bald young.

Yes, nowadays more men lost their hair earlier than it should be. What do you think happened?
