Did you watch the Emmy's last night?

I watched most of the Emmy's last night until I got tired of them and turned the channel to something else. One thing that surprised me was that many streaming shows got awards. Netflix and Amazon Prime both had winners. I think this was one of the first years the awards were not limited to regular broadcast TV. Of course, some of the people and show's that won are not those that I have ever watched. I always watch the same old stuff on Netflix maybe I should broaden my horizons!

They have included Netflix and Hulu for the past couple of years. The Handmaid's Tale won last year, and I think Elizabeth Moss did too. Regular channels like CBS are screwed. HBO did it to them for years, and now Netflix is. Most things nominated are things I don't watch.

Yeah, I said one of the first..not quite sure when exactly they started with the non mainstream channels.

@snowy22315 I am getting over a cold and I had to spend a whole other day in Italy in a public office, because there was an error in a document deposited by the Notary.

I watched some but since I wasn't familiar with most of the shows that were nominated or won I changed the channel. Maybe I need to broaden my tv viewing also

I was just checking the winner's page..Game of Thrones won for best drama. Sometime I hope that comes to Netflix and I will binge it. I have only seen a few episodes.

@Marilynda1225 really?when the sbow ends it will show upbother places. Peter Dinklage won one of the awards. He is American. I always thought he was a Brit.

@snowy22315 I turned it off before Games of Thrones won. Wow that's exciting. I wish it would come to Netflix because I'd love to rewatch it from season one. Maybe after this final season airs it will.
Meanwhile I'm so invested in it that I paid for HBO this past season just to watch it. Then I cancelled HBO

@ShifaLk They have their own programs. They aren't really channels. It is content downloaded onto their server you can stream or download yourself. You pay a monthly fee to use it.

We do tend to stick with the shows we enjoy or the genres we've always watched. It's good to broaden your horizons. I've been doing that lately and found a couple good shows as a result.
No, I didn't watch them. I didn't know about them until I opened the computer this morning.
