My Day So Far

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
It's raining again but a half hour ago the sun almost looked like it was going to come out. We're getting the remnants of hurricane Florence and tomorrow looks better.
I just came in with the dogs and it looks like we beat the rain by minutes. When I opened the door to take them out the hot, muggy air hit me like a ton of bricks. I can't believe it's still so warm out and September is rapidly flying by.
I've had a busy morning starting of course with showering, making the bed, doing laundry, having coffee, unloading the dishwasher, tidying up the kitchen, talking to my aunt, paying some bills and now having more coffee while I chat.
I haven't even had breakfast yet and I feel the day slipping away.
I heard on the radio this morning that today is National Cheeseburger Day. What a coincidence as I had already planned on making burgers for dinner so now all I have to do is throw some cheese on top and I'm ready to embrace this celebration.
Along with popping on and off here today I'm hoping to get some crocheting done and also pick a new book to read.
Other than that, nothing much is happening here.

Not too much..I was hoping friend and the little dog were coming down today..but apparently not..I think maybe one more storm and the rain will be done.

We actually had fireworks on Sunday night and I thought it was thunder. I forgot our town was having what they call community day which signifies the end of summer

My mom came home from getting the car fixed - again, and mentioned that she got a notification from her mc.donalds app saying they have two cheeseburgers for $1 today for the occasion. Unfortunately, I don't eat their food and my brother doesn't like their cheese. So we're going to wendys instead

Going to Wendy's is a good plan even if you have to bypass the app for the McDonalds cheeseburgers. You made me laugh though

I am reading Juror # 3 by James Patterson and Nancy Allen, so far its very good.
I am going to work this evening, got hired help coming.

That's a James Patterson book I haven't read yet. I'll have to see if I have it or else you know I'm going to be looking for it

This day just flew by. My phone kept ringing and it seemed as if everyone wanted to talk today. Hope you had a good day at work and didn't have to work too hard.

Since early afternoon it's been misting. The remnants of Florence will give us rain overnight and into tomorrow....then the weather will be much cooler....it's cooled down quite a bit in the last few hours.

Florence is making sure we all get a little taste of her but I guess we can't complain about a little rain. I feel bad for those in NC who got hit hard but certainly glad @platespinner wasn't affected.
