Hey there, everyone. I just got home from the doctor's and store a few minutes ago. I decided to go ahead and get my flu shot. I'm scared of needles, but I've gotten better about them over the years. Better enough to make the decision to get a flu shot. I was actually gonna wait until tomorrow, but Mom wanted to go to the store anyways, so I decided to just get it done. The nurse who did it is really quick about it, so I'm glad she was there today lol. After I got my flu shot, we walked over to the store, which is right next to the doctor's office. I didn't get anything other than a small milk and my medication. There wasn't anything I NEEDED to get today, nor do I wanna spend a lot before I get paid on Friday. Mom picked up what she needed and we headed home. And now here I am, chilling on MyLot for a few minutes. I have work to do and I wanna start straightening up though, so I'm going to get ready to get started on my orders. You all have a good day and take care. :) Photo Credit: Pixabay.

My kids got their flu shots at school today, and I am scheduled to get my flu shot next week at work.

I never got shots in school. I used to cry... a lot. I never would've lived it down lol.

@ramapo17 We have a city nurse at my city job, and she goes around to all the different city departments and gives us all our flu shots.

I remember those days getting the shots at work. Now I get them at our club house as the nurse and doctor come and give them every year.

The flu shot in September? I thought it is too early for a flu shot.

@LadyDuck Not really where I live. Flu season comes quick. It's offered so I got it out of the way, but probably wouldn't have gone any earlier, as I actually hate shots lol.

@tammys85 Here the new vaccine is not distributed before end of October, they take a bit more time to consider which kind of germs could bring the next flu.

@enlightenedpsych2 I try to fight the germs eating healthy foods and getting vitamins and minerals from food. When I know that people get their flu shots I even avoid to go at the supermarkets. They get the shot and they spread the germs.

A flu shot isn't nearly as bad as being near someone coughing and snuffling right next to you!

getting the needle is better than getting the flu.

Sounds like a good day. It's good when you can go to a store and not need anything.

Even with getting the flu for the first time this past February, I'm not planning on getting the flu shot. Lol. Needles and me don't mix. Plus out of 26 years od not getting the flu shot I only got the flu once. So i think I'm safe. But glad you got it since you wanted to. We got milk today too!

I hate needles, but I don't wanna get sick either. I've gotten better with it over the years. Plus I like the nurse I had. She gave me my last flu shot, and she's quick to where you don't have time to react. I don't get yearly but I felt that I should this time around. Awesome lol.

@tammys85 I believe ours could be too but because we just finished a slew of holidays here for us maybe they are not ready yet. I have not read anything so when I see my doctor next week will ask him.
