Lost My Pills from the Drugstore

I recently got two prescriptions from the pharmacy. They were 90-day supplies of a statin and a blood pressure medication. I got them a week ago and cannot find them. I have looked every place they could possibly be and they are just gone. I don't know what to do or think. Do any of you have any ideas of where to look or what to do? Update, I found both bottles in the desk I don't use. They were not there when I searched many times but appeared late last night. Thanks. Does anyone have any idea why this kind of thing happens?

Are you sure that your brought your pills home? Is it possible that you forgot the pill at the pharmacy? I would try to call and ask them.

@akalinus I am glad you found them. This happens, you search for something and it is where you already searched many times.

@LadyDuck Do you have any idea why this keeps happening with different items? It is starting to really irritate me.

I just found them. They were on a desk that I searched a hundred times before.

If they were given to you again, is there somewhere you might put them for safe keeping? Not in a different handbag? Could they have got filed with another piece of paper that arrived at the same time?

These were actual pills. I made a mistake in the title of this discussion. I called them prescriptions and everyone thought I was talking about forms but I wasn't. That is my fault. I apologize.

@JudyEv I forget that not everyone understands the English language the way I do. I try to keep it simple but mess up anyway.

@akalinus I do that all the time. I know what I'm talking about and just expect others will.

I had something like that once..it turns out I had left them on the counter at the pharmacy. Maybe you did that too, or if not they can tell you what to do.

@akalinus Did you check to see if you actually chucked them in the trash with the plastic bags or pharmacy inserts?

@snowy22315 I did check the trash but the bag had not been opened the last time I saw it.

Glad you found those pills! It is not always easy to get replacements.

I took the pills home. The chemist would not know where they are.

@Shivram59 They would not be happy if they knew I lost them. I don't want to tell them anything just yet.

@akalinus But if you tell him about your problem, he can tell you what pills are prescribed for it. Or,can't you call on your doctor again?

They won't do that unless the police are involved.

There must be an elf in this house also. I really hope you can find them as you need them. They could be where you least expect to find them.

I already looked in the freezer and the trash and the recycle bucket. I emptied all the drawers and replaced everything. I went through all the shelves and desks in the house. That elf is in big trouble.

@akalinus Are those drawers ones that pull out on rollers and have a space at the back of them? Just saying as once I had something fall behind the drawers in the kitchen and it was the last place I thought of also. Sometimes we can get to go and put things in the freezer with all the plastic bags and stuff. An elf managed to vanish away a favourite cd of mine and I cannot find it anywhere for the life of me either.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I know that things sometimes fall in the back of my big desk drawer. I just looked and they are not there. They would be big for that but it is possible. The last I saw, they were in my desk drawer. I have one for things like Tylenol, band-aids, vitamins, etc. I thought they were in there.

You should first look where they are normally kept Believe it or not some times we just do not see what is there. Good Luck.

@allknowing Who or what does this kind of thing. I don't understand why things disappear and show up where we searched before.

I'm glad you found them. I know it's weird, but the first place I look for lost items is the fridge. It's amazing how many strange things end up there.

Yes, I did look in the fridge and the freezer too. Why do things end up in there anyway?

@just4him I do that a lot, I stick it in the refrigerator in a bag just to make sure it gets in there. Then, I find I am missing something and go crazy looking for it when it is in the bag with the other thing at the same time.

@akalinus I bought my favorite Mrs. Dash seasoning. Yet, when I went looking for it, I couldn't find it anywhere. it turned up in the fridge in a store bag, that I just put in there because it was easier for what was in the bag to leave it there and just put it in the fridge. Of course, I found the spice after I bought a new one.

spooky. Many you were in a rush and didn't see them. I know if I panic about something that is lost I overlook things.
