My doctor is going to sue me!

I went to sit down with my primary doctor today to go over my blood work results ('donated' blood last week) and some of the results are: Total Cholesterol 140 (LDL 62) sugar 6.1 hemoglobin 13.1 Platelets 280 Sodium serum 136 Potassium serum 3.7 chloride serum 100 Urinalysis Specific Gravity 1.011 all negative from ph to glucose Other numbers: blood pressure 107/72 6 pounds lighter than 4 months ago He cut down my metformin to 1 pill a day instead of 2 Does want me to see my heart doctor as the pig aorta valve I had implanted usually has an 8-year 'life' and I'm now going into my 10th year with it--no problems but.... He, also, suggested I go to one of the doctors qualified to dispense marijuana due to aches/pains I have in calves of legs and back of arms that he would back up but I am very hesitant about going that route. The only problem we are having is with my INR (warfarin) level which has been between 1.5 and 8.0 when it should be between 2.5-3.5--since it affects my blood clotting abilities we have to adjust it. Many things affect it (like salads, broccoli, cauliflower, etc., vitamin K, multi-vitamins) but of the past 19 years, I have only had a problem maybe 2-3 months total so we are going to switch the amount of mgs I take every day and test it again in 2 weeks. He gave me a prescription to get my yearly flu shot, my every 5-year pneumonia plus one for shingles though I know I definitely had one there is no record of it anywhere. I go to CVS for those and got the first 2 as they are waiting for a new shipment of the newest med. In any case as I was leaving the doc's office he announced to the staff (and the few patients in the waiting room), "I am going to sue this patient as he tests as a 20-year-old and I can't buy a new Mercedes with healthy patients!" Now I won't see him again for the blood test until January 3--sure, which means I have to watch myself from Christmas until after New Year's Eve!! With a smile on my face---and looking at his old Mercedes--I was going to treat myself to carrot cake as I do every 4 months after the exam but though I NEVER sin it is Yom Kippur and I am not supposed to eat until sundown so I'll leave the carrot cake until tomorrow when I go to The Cheesecake Factory!

Not bad at all! Six pounds down and one less pill AND the doctor wants to give you pot (I know you're hesitant but I think you should give it a shot. I'd never try it, of course...well, unless a doctor made me...but it works great!...Um, so I hear from my friends who do that sort of thing which I would never do, unless I was forced). I do feel sorry for that doctor, though. No one should have to drive last year's Mercedes. It's Yom Kippur already??? I'm not Jewish but I always observe the Jewish holidays but...well, I'll fast next year.

Now if you were like me and DIDN'T sin you wouldn't have to starve for 24 hours to atone!

One good way to stay healthy is to eat moderately and do plenty of walking. I need to lose some pounds myself so I can lower my diabetic condition.
