A Busy Day

I’m sitting on my deck answering comments. I didn’t have a moment to get on mylot yesterday. Today was also a busy day. We had a couple of visitors and shopping to do. Plus it takes forever for my betterhalf to get up the steps. He doesn’t actually have to go out-but he insists. He gets tired and bored staying in. And I can imagine I would feel the same way. Management let us know today that a ramp cannot be built over the steps to our apartment. An engineer had looked at the steps and said it was impossible. We didn’t believe they could anyway. They have an apartment with no steps that we can move into but we’re waiting to see if the injections work. We don’t want to move unless it’s absolutely necessary. Well! That’s my news for today. Hope your day went well.

I am house bound and I do get bored and want to do something at times. I know how he feels. Moving can be expensive. Hope you don't have to.

Moving is expensive and hard work. I dread the packing up and unpacking in a new apartment.

We’re waiting until his last injection, hoping we won’t have to move. They couldn’t put in a ramp because the distance is too short from the steps to the entrance.

@Mavic123456 Sometimes problems are solved and sometimes we have to live with the problem and consequences.

I hope the injections work, but if there is a free apartment ready and you can move, may be it would be a good move, because you cannot know how it will be for your husband in the future.

@LadyDuck We’ve lived in this apartment for about fifteen years. But if his knee doesn’t get better we’ll have to move.

It won’t be free. We still have rent to pay. But we will move if we have to. We’re still hoping the injections will work.

Mine went from dreary to decent in spite of the futility of the football teams I flaccidly root for.

@RubyHawk I hope there is an answer. It must be so hard for him and for you to watch him suffer.

Yes, it’s hard to see him struggling to walk and in pain.

@Hannihar We’ll know more at his next doctors appointment. He still has some weeks to go before the six months are up, even though the injections didn’t help.

I am not busy at all today, I think staying with that lady yesterday not doing much, wore me out. My husband wanted a wheelchair ramp, but the social worker said he have too many health problems to come home, if he does it would not be wise.

@JudyEv After he has all his injections and according to how well he can move about. If he gets to the point that he cannot walk up the steps we will have to move.

I understand how life can get busy and you can't be here. I wasn't here much yesterday. I hope the injections work and your husband has more mobility.
