First Rock and Roll Song

Rock and roll had to have a beginning. The music did not just suddenly turn up and make people listen. The song “Rocket 88” is a rhythm and blues song that was recorded in 1951 by Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats who were Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm. This song quickly rose up to number one on the Billboard R&B chart and is considered to be the first ever rock and roll recording. It was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Singles in 2018.
If one can ever remember so far back it seems so long ago to say that at this time Ike Turner was just 19 years old. Later on Turner’s piano intro to this song was used by Little Richard for his recording of “Good Golly Miss Molly”.
Has anyone heard this song before? Does anyone know of another song which could be considered the first rock and roll song?
Widely acknowledged as the first "rock and roll" song.

Oh, sure, I've heard "Rocket 88," and I've heard a ton of songs that predate it that also serve as candidates. I guess it depends on who you ask.

@GreatMartin I'm with you there too. Lots of good singers from days gone by. Here's one of my all-time favorites by Dean Martin every time I hear this song it always puts me in a really great mood
