Teaching kids the joy of sharing

At one of mine milestone birthdays which I had celebrated with poor kids from in an Institute. I played a game that taught them the joy of sharing.
Candies were strewn on the floor which they were asked to collect. At the end they were told to share with those who did not succeed in getting any candy.
I watched the joy when they willingly shared what they had collected.
Here is a video of the kids in action

Unless one gives or shares the joy will never be known. Every child should be given such opportunities

When people get the joy of giving and sharing for which they must get opportunities the world will surely be a happy place to live. .

You are doing something good for the kids and something they will share once they are grown up.

My first 2 or 3 kids I may have had to teach the "joys of sharing". By after that, I think since they had the general idea, they taught the other 8 siblings who came later.

Kids should get nto the habit of sharing and giving early in their lives and when they are appreciated they feel encouraged.

Those who do not have that naturally they need to cultivate that and programmes such as this could help them with that.

They should apply it in their real world whenever there is an opportunity

@allknowing Good that they learn from an early age. It should stick in their minds as they grow older.

And adults too should reach out to those in need.

For some it comes naturally but inculcating this habit is also possible.

First they grab as much as they can not realising they will be told to share but it was nice to see them happy when they had to.

That is a great thing to do. Kids are usually pretty good about it as long as they are getting some too.

You are right about children expecting to benefit themselves while performing this act of sharing or giving. I like to give and share and surely I benefit from it.

This is a very good thing to teach the joy of sharing to those lucky kids.
