Do you name things?

When I was younger, I used to name everything that was important to me. For example, I named the family car. I named my flute. I named, of course, pets (I hope most people do that.) Occasionally I had a pen or something that I especially liked and I would name that too. Those names were all secret. I never told anyone. Eventually, I found out that other people named things too! I thought that was cool. Unfortunately, I never wrote any of the names of things down. Now I can't recall any of them except my tenor recorder, Amaya. The only reason I remember that is that I wrote it inside of her case! Did or do you name things that are important to you, and do you remember them? What are some of the things you name?

yes, we do name things. It is nice and the kids easily recognize that way.

Why it's only now that we can actually name important things to us and not only pets and people.

This is very interesting to name things as they seem to have lives, too. But I only name my pets.

Yes, both my husband and I name things. All our cars had a name, my mower has a name and some things that I consider "more important" all have a name. Some things, my teddy bear, my mower, our car, some stuffed toys.
