Do you grind teeth during sleep?

My mother says I do and I hubby says I do sometimes. But my hubby grind his teeth everyday and everytime he sleeps. I wonder why do people grind teeth during their sleep. Do you know?

My daughter sometimes do but the dentist said nothing about it yet.

So sad to hear it. Sometimes when my hubby grind his teeth I fear he might break them because he does it too hardly.

@BabeSays Yes very hard and mine are loose one of them is loose because of grinding.

It is called "bruxism" and it is usually caused by missing or crooked teeth, but it can also a symptom of sleep apnea. My husband did in the past, the dentist corrected his two upper teeth and he does not grind anymore.

Or that explains why my hubby grinds his teeth. Thanks for sharing dear. My hubby two front teeth are crooked that's why I think.

Yes mostly you won't be able to know since you are sleeping. Does your kids grind their teeth too?

I grind mines also and sometimes I feel like I just can't help it . All i know that it can a cause of anxiety but not sure what else can be a reason.

@BabeSays something like this (see photo). It helps her stop her grinding since it damages the teeth. She noticed that her teeth chiseled down. Her cuspids (canine teeth) got shorter. Experts called it bruxism which causes harsh effects to dental health.
