The best pork loin in years.

I thawed a pork loin I had for my grandkids as they don´t like chicken. The loin had a thick greasy part on one side and it was completely loin on the other side. I salted it and let it marinate. I then added onions cut in half topped with allspice, quartered green apples and bathed all that in oil and white wine. After that, it was just roasting it and waiting while the delicious smells filled the house. I served it with potatoes that I had cooked and then placed in the roasting pan. How do you cook pork loin?

We have the similar dish here. It may be different than yours but they look alike. It tastes delicious for sure

The pork choice was important in my dish. Thr pork loin had enough fat so that it melted while it roasted and there was a delicious crust.

@marguicha In fact the pork is a very common meat here.

@youless We eat a lot of pork here too. But not all pork meat is the same.

Never thought of baking seasoned green apples with the meat before. I will have to try this one day. (Can you really chew the crunchy skin part?)

@YrNemo My brother is a chemist and told me once that with all the pesticides, we must peel everything.

Yummy, that sounds delicious. Haven't had a pork loin in a while but I love them, esp roasted. I love roasting most anything, I think it is just about the best cooking method there is. I've never added apples and allspice but now you've got me wanting too.

You can also use apple sauce. That´s easy as you only have to buy a jar of baby food
