I had the biggest Brain Fog yesterday

I planned on making a beef vegetable stew in the crock pot. I took the pot out and put all the chopped food etc. into the pot, secured the lid and went about doing more housework. A little over an hour later, I looked at the see through lid of the pot and thought, "hmm, the vegetables are not sizzling, boiling like it should be doing after an hour", then I realized, I had not plugged the pot in!
I was so surprised because never in all the years that I have used the crock pot have I ever forgotten to plugged the pot in! I felt so silly and dumb.
The meal was only delayed an hour or so. Thank goodness.

Just be glad you saw that you hadn't plugged it in before the family was home and ready for dinner. That would be very sad.

Well, you are not alone. That also happened to me once. 
I thought I already switched on the rice cooker. Only to find out when I came back if it is cooked, that it wasn't. Good thing, I still have to eat breakfast and dress up and have an hour yet left before going to work.
I need to bring a packed rice to work, so I will just buy the viand from one of the food stores of the mall, that caters for employees.

I prepare the coffee pot...go to the living room .....then return to the kitchen to be sure I turned it on.....I've forgotten a few times.
