What did you do today?

Today was the herb class at Villa on the Prairie. We had all kinds of hors d'oerves brimming with olive oil, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme ( are you singing yet?).
I mostly have just hung out at home, except for Bob and I taking a drive in the little gray car. We met up with a friend who owns a spot on the river for fishing and we looked around and visited some.
I made up a recipe from today called Texas Sage Cider Vinegar . It will be very flavorful in a couple of weeks. It includes sage, allspice, cinnamon sticks and whole cloves, steeped in apple cider vinegar.
I sauteed some veggies and cooked eggs with them. Added bacon bits and topped it all with cheese. It was a good meal.
My swag goal has been met. I could wash dishes again. I am just going to write a little more here and read a lot as well.

That's an interesting building. Today was a home chore day for me. I love Saturday cause often it means I can lay in bed longer and not get up and drive. So....I made this week's bread and then cornbread to go with our simple chili. And finally after three weeks of thinking that I needed to mow the front mess I got that job done. Yay on getting that swag goal done. Usually the weekend goal is less so its easier for me to figure out.

My goal is never less on the weekend any more, but I got a 24 point search. We had black bean patties for one of our foods today. It was good. I have heard of people making them and I have sampled the ones by Morningstar Farms, but you know, homemade is always so much better.

@sallypup Karyn (herb lady) uses nothing but olive oil. She did fry these, using her infused oil (Mediterranean oil, she called it My impression is that she just skims a little oil on her pan and browns them. She said to keep these in the freezer to bring out for parties and football watching, etc. I may make Mediterranean oil today as it is time to harvest all the herbs before we have a freeze.

@GardenGerty 24 point search. Wow. I'm trying to remember if I got any search points today. I worry about the salt and fat in the Morningstar Farm products though I do eat them. I've been making my own garbanzo bean fritters lately. Too much olive oil needed to fry them but oh they are tasty.

Yes, I was singing. That recipe sounds good.
After leaving myLot yesterday, I worked on my book. I even needed to get up after I went to bed close to midnight and work on the book. When I finished what I needed to write, I asked God to wake me at 4 so I could get my medication and be ready to go to church this morning. God woke me up on time.

Lol. I am always grateful for a wakeup call. When the "pastor" cheat is totally off the sign and such at church and out of the parsonage we may go back to the little local church. It was where I had friends here in town and I miss good worship. His last official day is October 7. He is moving out of town and sneaking in at night or early morning to move his stuff.

@GardenGerty I'm sorry you have a bad situation at your local church with your pastor. Not good and reflects bad on the church (Christians). I hope you get a good pastor who loves God and cares about the people.

I am trying to put towels and sheets on a regular schedule. Towels are supposed to be Friday evening when I come in from swimming at school. I was home sick so I forgot to do them until Saturday. Then I did kitchen towels afterwards. I need to do my work clothes.

That sounds like a great way to clear some clutter and give you something you will be proud of that will bring back great memories.

She suggested making an apple and pear salad and using it as a dressing or marinating meat in it.

Sounds like you had a great day. As for me, I just stayed at home the whole day. I changed the curtains in the living room, did some laundry, and watched some movies on Netflix. I feel sleepy right now but I still have to finish writing my third blog post for Bit Landers.
