Cupcake Sunday

I find myself busy with keeping up with my blogs and my online writing. Time seems to go by quickly even though I am alone and you would think for me time would drag. In fact, I have so many things I would like to do that I just find the days are too short. One thing that is hard to get used to here in Florida is that the summer seems to be eternal. This was the first year that I no longer enjoyed summer so much because my tragedy and problems all began in the summer last year in Latvia. Now I would like to embrace autumn but no signs of it here. I have many ideas for getting creative with drawings and picture coloring and so on because these activities greatly inspire me and get my imagination going but as yet, I have to find the time to get to these activities. I am also working hard on gathering material for my second book of poems. I can tell you that once you do get a book published you become eager to share more with the world. My second offering will be only love poems. However, as they say, all work and no play makes for a dull person. I altered this saying a bit. So after a number of hours at the PC I needed to have a break. So this Sunday I got busy baking cupcakes for myself and to share with my friend’s family below me in this house. I decided the cupcakes would keep me baking and more occupied than just making a cake. Now everyone is happy with their treats and I am finishing up here online. Longing for the colors of autumn I was also reminded of one of the sad songs that remind us of the ending of summer and that is a song by Chris de Burgh “Lonely Sky”. The music and the words are lovely and in a way, I am now flying with my creativity, my imagination and my thoughts in a lonely sky. What was your Sunday like? What do you think of this song?
