Do you drink cold coffee?

My dad used to drink iced coffee in the Summer. I never developed a liking for it. But that's not what I'm asking about. This morning, when I stumbled to my desk, I found 1/3 of a cup of coffee there. Coffee doesn't keep me from sleeping, and I had had a cup before going to bed. My coffee water for the morning was almost ready to boil. But the cold coffee at my desk was SO tempting. When you find a cold cup of coffee in your house, do you drink it up on the way to the sink? Or do you pour it out? You can probably guess what I did.

I guess you threw it. We as a family love cold coffee in summers. We add coffee powder, little sugar and lots of ice in a mixie jar and grind it. It is really cool drink for a hot summer. Some people even love to add cream to it.

Sounds like a coffee smoothie to me! I think you've affected my life. I may have a (banana) smoothie before I head out on my mission of errands. (By the way, I drank it.)

@TheHorse In hostel girls used to use milk powder, little bit of coffee, lots of sugar, and little bit of warm water, beat it up and eat like coffee toffee. It was so weird...kinda looked like loose motions...

I pour it out. Living in the south, no matter how hard we try. Bugs always get into the house, and end up in coffee. So if its been out all night I wont drink it. I have been known to empty the pot and put it in the fridge though. I prefer iced coffee usually.

I bet iced tea and iced coffee are more common in the South. We do drink both up here sometimes, though. Do you have a lot of hyper bugs down there? Or do they mostly drown?

@TheHorse I grew up in Oregon and spent a lot of winter time in montana. I always drank iced coffee. Lol. I just don't do hot coffee a lot. I don't like hot beverages very often.

I actually drink a lot of iced coffee. Usually if there's coffee left in the pot after we've had our morning cups, I'll pour it into a jar in the fridge. I've also been known to cold brew coffee on purpose in the summer.

@spiderdust Ah, thanks. Do you then turn it into iced coffee? Does it taste different from "regular" iced coffee?

@TheHorse I put coffee grounds and water in a mason jar and let them steep overnight, and then I strain the grounds through a coffee filter lined colander.

I think you didn't drink it but threw it away and made a new one. I can drink an iced coffee, but not in he morning. It has to be hot when during breakfast.

'Hot coffee' is for long chats after church ... when you can sip it while listening to your fellow church-goers' thoughts. 'Cold (or lukewarm) coffee' is for chugging. If someone's not used to the taste yet, they can take it like medicine (and chug it ... which hurts your throat if it's hot).

Ice coffee, yes, but if it was warm and it got cold, sometimes i take few sips if there is a lot of it left (if i forget about it) but i dont tend to do that. I heard its not so good to drink it.

I add the cold coffee to a jar of water and use it to water the plants. I never drink something that has stayed on a surface during all the night.

I am an occasional coffee drinker. This morning my hubby made me a cup of hot coffee,I had no choice but to drink it up. On summer, I drink cold coffee but like I said, I am not a coffee lover.I only drink it when I crave for it.

Well I finished some what was once hot coffee but now was on the cold side. I tend to have to finish some cups like that as I get busy on the computer and don't get to drink the coffee when it is hot. I like some cold coffee, Mike buys the International Delight Mocha flavor from time to time. As long as it is coffee, nothing is floating in it Im going to drink it

Yep. If there's anything floating in it, especially something that was once alive, I pour it out.
