or maybe they DO believe in it, but the people haven't been living-up on the word "Democracy." (You see; to me, that word means 'government operated by The People ... for and of The People, sure; but NOT UNLESS 'THE PEOPLE' ARE DOING THEIR PART OF THE WORK!) Kirsten Gillibrand--U.S. Senator from New York--tweeted "Enough is enough. One credible sexual assault claim should have been too many to get a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court and make decisions that will affect millions of women’s lives for generations. Two is an embarrassment. It’s time for a new nominee." And I was inspired (by that & -some general knowledge about Judge Kavanaugh's struggle) to make a response that was three 'tweets' long: 'It's a shame that we are unable to take 'someone who's been a qualified arbiter of the justice system for so many years (decades maybe?)' as a representative of its function---guess it shows that our 'government' is not Democratic unless "The People" activate its power ... 'If one- or all of @BrettKavanaugh's accusers had 'brought him to justice' "before the bruises could heal" (I know "there's no statute-of-limitations on sexual assault," but shouldn't all parties' past actions (including the accusers') be 'nullified' upon pressing charges?), ... '... then he'd either never have 'fooled us all' into thinking he were "qualified" for the position, OR he would be EXTRA-qualified for the position (having been through the laundry-list of qualifying rehabilitations).' I mean, isn't the goal of the justice-system 'reforming criminals into respectable members of society'?---right along with the education-system ("forming individuals" in much the same way that they 'reform criminals' ... into respectable citizens (possibly as described at the link in the picture)). And criminals whom they can't reform are "gotten rid-of" (usually by execution).

Do you prefer your legal system to be lenient or tough?

I trust them to know that a man whom they-themselves have qualified (or 'qualitated') as a judge-an officer of that system--is honest enough to have paid for all his past mistakes.
