What was I thinking?

After taking my son to kindergarten and my wife to her job, I decided to go eat some McDonald's sandwich. I really wanted one, actually two of them. The lady there greeted me, took my order and told me I have to pay 3$. I reached into my pocket and... no money. That's when I remembered I gave my money to my wife... The lady smiled and I appologized, but since I was on foot and my home was 15 minutes away, I went for a walk. And now I'm checking my notifications here, I sit on a bench and look at some sleepy pigeons. It seems they are trying to get warm, poor birds... I mean, look at them!

Still no food. But now I'm at home and I'm watching the cooking channel, that should do it .

@vsai2008 I think so too . It was really cold outside and I need to warm my hands first. Then prepare some food. Then eat it. Then think about how hungry I was. Then... we'll see what's to come .

I once bought a week’s worth of groceries and at the checkout realized I had left my wallet at home.. Those pigeons look well fed to me!

@Kasjnak Hopefully you won't be in that position again. I hope you had something to eat. I do feel bad for the poor cold pigeons. They do look like they are trying to keep warm.

For me it was a first. But I'm pretty sure it's not gonna be my last . Those pigeons are well fed, indeed, there are always people that feed them all day long. No wonder the pigeons wait there, even if it's cold.

@DianneN thank you . Food was not a problem, I just wanted those burgers . I'll get them tomorrow. As for the pigeons, they are fat and happy. They were a little cold and they liked the morning sun. Pretty warm actually .

I was about to pay right after placing the order, so they didn't have enough time to make the burgers. At least I hope so .

That is too bad you had no money with you. The birds will keep warm. They will ruffle their feathers and it will be like a warm coat for them. A great photo.

Thank you! Well, sometimes this kind of things happen. No problem, I always see the good or the fun part of life. I love those pigeons, they are all... fluffy and cute. And they are really funny when they start begging .
