When you live at a distance, you worry more for your loved ones- Isn't it?

Hi mylotters. I have observed that whenever you live at a distance from your loved ones, you worry about them more, especially when someone isn't well.
I personally believe one feels helpless when you are at a distance from your loved ones and when they aren't well, you tend to worry more.

I live in Texas and my Dad lives in Iowa and I found out Monday that he's going to have to have surgery. He's 88 and has Dementia and the surgery is dangerous; so this could turn out bad @Rashnag .

Yes, one time my 2nd Brother together with his wife and kids went somewhere in the north.
I was too worried about them because I know how poor those places are. What I did was I send them money to go home, and now they have their own house right beside us.
