Doc forgot something

Don't get me wrong I really do appreciate the free consultation he gave me when I had a check up on him. But there was one thing missing this year, and that was the blood test. He often do that before he made any diagnosis / prescription. That bothers me, looks like he forgot. I shouldn't have brought my relatives along, they always have this little chit chat. Do you think I should go back and remind him of that blood test? For sure I'll be paying for it this time.

may i ask what was the doctor's diagnosis to your health? it is because if you have no other complaints, doctors do not usually request for any blood work-up.

Hello @ridingbet It's possible that my legs were pushed from all that moving of the furnitures, causing gout and stress to my nerves. He did that to me twice when ever i experience gout.

@ridingbet last year. But they were three instances that I took the previous meds with out his consultation, but because I also had gout then. This was the only time this year that I consulted with him again and confessed because the pain was unbearable already.

@Letranknight2015 oh, then maybe you should have another blood test, but if the interval is less than 2 months, i think it is not good especially if he prescribed you medicines to lessen the gout in your system. may i ask when we your previous consultation and blood work-up?

To be sure let your doctor be reminded so that you can have peace of mind and the doctor could really see what is the status of your condition. Well I think its best that you have to bring money so you won't be in awkward situation in case you are billed for that procedure.

We often have money just for any test and consultation fee, but he kept giving me free consultation. So, I don't mind if I get to pay this time.

Don't worry if you have to pay for it. Remind him about it so he can have his referral to the lab room of the hospital.

That's what I'm thinking @Spontaneo not really over stepping what he does but usually blood test usually gives him more accurate diagnosis.

I don't mind the amount since he gave me free consultation twice already @Courage7 but in my point of view that blood test might be important.

I think he will not charge you, but when you asked him to interpret the results, he will ask for your payment.

It is more important to have a blood test. Whenever I visit my doctor I always have a copy of my monthly lab result at the center because they are going to base the check up to your result. I think you can call him and ask why no blood test for you today?

Hello @JustBhem I've decided to finished all the meds, even from the previous check up. Honestly, the pain has lessen a bit so i think the medication was working. I just didn't get why he didn't give me the blood test. not sure when I would want to have a blood test. Probably have free lab test at Generic.
