Indigenous works here. A shades with the bamboo as the frame of the glasses. I think its cool. I saw this in one of trade fairs in the nearby province. They also have other indigenous products out of bamboo. Autumn or winter might be in your country but I think this still good in my beloved home. It still so hot here and cold season will be in the next two months. Its like summer here. The only question now if some fashionistas would like yo wear this kind of shades.

Bamboo shades were introduced several years ago and they caught my attention but I never got myself a pair. Now I'm using bamboo straws and I bring them everywhere.

I think those sunglasses are really stylish. Using bamboo is a great idea because simple plastic frames can break easily.

That is always the after effect of typhoons hitiing a place. After the strong rains and winds will arrive a very hot and humid days more like summer climate. That is what I hate about typhoon aftermath it seems like the cool air is sucked out and dry spell follows for a short time until everything normalizes again.

@ilocosboy I realise that the topic was about the bamboo sunglasses but I replied a little bit skewed about the weather. Sorry for that one lol. . I think bamboo shades would be cool and unique to have, I just thought of how durable will that last since it is made of biodegradable material it would easily become weak when it gets wet or something. But the good point in that is it is kind of environmentally friendly product as well.

@ilocosboy My eldest Son had some really terrible glasses that were always breaking in the middle over the nose. You only had to pick them up and sometimes they would just snap.

It is fashionable to wear, but is it durable? Bamboo is a versatile grass; you can make a lot of items from it like the bamboo cloth, carpet, decors, etc. even frames for bikes.

Speaking of bike's frame, I saw one that I almost buy one, its quite expensive and my budget at that time is not enough.

That's cool. There's also a city down south of our province that manufactures sturdy bamboo bike frames. I've seen on TV that there's also a place up there in Luzon that makes the same bike frames out of bamboo.

@ilocosboy It's quite expensive because it takes quite some time to finish one bike frame. I also saw one bamboo-framed mountain bike when we visited an old pioneer of our coop during her birthday.
