By Gloria Faye Brown Bates/aka Granny Gee Did you know people gain weight when they get into new relationships? I heard they gain upwards to 17 lbs in the first year of a new relationship. Why? Because they no longer have to look their best. Also, because people tend to eat out more at fast foods in a new relationship. Did you gain weight in a new relationship? I remember many years ago ... I did. As a young person I would do that ... and be unhappy with my weight. At that time I couldn't figure out why. Through time while being married ... I would gain weight, lose weight. It's too easy to gain also, being married. Why? For me ... it was cooking all the time. Food can be my enemy as well as my friend. Today ... I've almost lost all the excess weight I've gained over time.

I don't know about others but I have heard the same thing and I have to admit I did put on some weight. It's time to lose some weight now.

Losing weight is, has been one of the hardest things to do ... especially when you are the one who cooks. I've had to stop cooking in order to do so.

@GrannyGee Indeed it's so hard. Putting on weight is more easy and takes less time.

I started seriously gaining weight after I quit smoking, it had nothing to do with any kind of relationship.

Oh yes! I gained in the last one because we ate out a lot and then I started cooking and staying at home. Now I am dropping it back off.
