Heyyy, everyone. I’m back. Well, I came back yesterday in the form of comments lol. But the job board is slow since it’s a little after midnight, so I thought I’d actually pop in with a post before hitting the hay. I know I haven't been around in a few days, but you'll understand why as you read on.
I'm warning you now, this is a lengthy post, so I'll understand if you want to hit the back button.
I spent a good chunk of my Saturday cleaning, and I was too exhausted to spend a lot of time online that night. Sunday was the Gemstone Show. I didn't find anything I wanted to buy, but it was still a nice time with the family. I was trying to avoid taking a nap when I got home, as I needed to get to bed earlier than usual that night, but that failed. I still slept an okay amount that night though.
Okay, so remember a few months ago when I asked everyone to keep my family in my thoughts and prayers? This was because my Mother needed surgery to have an artery cleaned out. It took a bit to schedule the surgery because of pre-op appointments (as she's also a heart patient), but the surgery was this passed Monday.
My siblings and two in-laws were up at the hospital with Mom before the surgery, and we stayed all day (with more family coming by later). Once Mom was actually taken into the operating room, we went downstairs to the cafeteria to eat. We also walked across the street to Barnes and Noble, as we had a few hours and they had my sister's number. It was nice to just keep our mind off things for a little while. We headed back to the waiting room and everyone just kind of kept occupied for a bit.
The surgery itself went fine, but unfortunately, there was a bump in the road that I'd rather not get into right now. She's okay now, but of course we were nervous at the time and wound up stepping outside for some air. A nurse told us later that they were happy with the way she was progressing. They were going to keep her asleep and in ICU for the night. One of my sisters and I saw her for a few minutes, and eventually everyone went home (since we wouldn't be able to see her, as ICU has different rules).
I missed the first half hour of Raw because I wasn't in the mood for wrestling, but wound up putting it on because there was nothing else on. I'm glad I did though, it was a nice distraction. After Raw, I watched a few episodes of The Golden Girls and eventually went to bed.
Tuesday was a lot better. Mom was awake, talking, eating, etc. We all spent the day at the hospital, where we wound up watching a marathon of Law and Order SVU (Mom loves that show) lol. My sister, her husband and I stuck around until our sister and her boyfriend came back up (as they had to leave for a while). When we got home, I ate dinner, watched WWE Smackdown and The Golden Girls, and worked on some writing orders. I eventually went to bed, but I didn't work on Monday so I wanted to get in a little work then.
We weren't sure if Mom was going to be able to come home today, but she was cleared earlier this evening. Our dogs went crazy for her, especially our youngest, as he's attached to her lol. Mom and I watched the Big Brother season finale, but I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't been able to watch it yet. It turned out to be a good season though, at least in my opinion. I also walked to Rite-Aid with my niece earlier today. I worked on a few orders, but not as many as I had wanted to, but maybe tomorrow will be better.
I'm actually going to be hitting the hay in a few minutes. I've been up late for most of the week - worrying on Monday and working on Tuesday, so I'm going to take the slow boards as a sign that I need to get some sleep.
I know this was long, but I warned you lol. ;) I hope you're all doing well. Goodnight, or good morning, and take care, everyone.

I'm glad to know the surgery went well, despite the bump in the road, and your mother is home. Your anxiety level must have been through the roof. I haven't forgotten to pray for your mother and did so every time the Lord brought her to mind.
It's good the job board was slow so you could focus on your mother and nothing else. I know you're happy she's home.

Thank you so much. Oh yeah, my anxiety was definitely through the roof when I found out the nurse was coming to see us (I didn't know it was to take us to Mom), so my chest got tight and I thought I was going to be sick. Aw thank you so much.
Thank you! I did get in a little work, but I didn't set any goals, as I knew it'd be an off week.

You and you family's presence and support for your mom surely lessened her fear from the medical operation.
