Tomorrow, September 29, is National Coffee Day. So be sure to enjoy that cup of joe, or to put it another way, "the common man's drink." Although from my observances, they could call it a cup of jane, as I see just of many women savoring that coffee too. Did you know, according to a professional coffee taster, there are four components of a perfect cup: aroma, body, acidity, and flavor. In addition, the region a coffee is grown determines its acidity. The higher the elevation the coffee grows the higher the quality and the acidity. Brighter, dryer and sparkling, this coffee is considered the cream of the crop by experts. What a great day to celebrate! Let's face it, coffee lovers relish the flavor along with the "jump start" a cup of java gives us morning, noon or night. Just when and where did coffee become a "thing" in society. One account traces it's origins around the 15th century in the Sufi monasteries around Mokha in Yemen. Evidence of either coffee drinking or the knowledge of the coffee tree appears during that time. Eventually coffee seeds were smuggled out of the area to be grown in places like Italy and the rest of Europe, to Indonesia and the Americas. Who is the biggest coffee producer in the world. That would be in South America. Brazil produces more coffee in the world than any other country followed by Colombia. You can observe this special day by enjoying a cup or two of your favorite coffee flavor. And check out the special coffee deals offered by Mc Donald's, Starbucks and Duncin' Donuts. As a famous campaign ad said, "Good To The Last Drop." Source & Photo- nationaldaycalendar.com

I was in Italy this morning and I enjoyed a delicious cup of Espresso. I did not know that it's coffee day but I will go down and make another espresso using my machine. My favorite coffee is from Jamaica and Colombia. I only like the "Arabica" beans, "Robusta" beans are too oily and strong, they are also more bitter.

Oh good! It won't grow hair on your chest, (thank goodness), but I'm sure you will enjoy the aroma and taste of another cup

I drink one cup of black coffee a day. That's enough for me.

I have a cup and a half every morning to start my day. Any more is too much for my system to handle.
