Has anyone read this one? I believe it’s a semi new one by John Grisham who normally writes legal thrillers, and this one is a little different, it feels a bit like branching out to different genres or style for him.
The book starts out around a group of 4 con artists who plan a big heist of Princeton university and their highly protected and valuable old original manuscripts, which they then plan to ransom back to the college for millions.
The book follows the FBIs progress in finding some of the criminals, but not the actual manuscripts. Then the book switches to the insurance company paying a struggling writer to snoop in her old hometown on a book store owner who they believe has the manuscripts hidden.
She does under the guise that she is writing a book and becomes close to the book owner, who eventually does show her he has the stolen manuscripts. But as she develops a relationship with him, does she turn him in to the FBI?
I won’t ruin the ending. It was good and different but not one of my favorites.
Have you read anything good or different lately?

I liked his books at the beginning, but then I thought is was too much lawyer thing and too repetitive. Maybe this one is better.

Yes, I read Camino Island. Grusham's best effort in recent years.

@maezee I though The Rooster Bar one of his worst.

Its been a while since I read Grisham. Lately I have been randomly picking books and I have not been disappointed. I did it today when at the library.

The only book of John Grisham I read is "The Firm". The last book I read is one of Sophie Kinsella's
