Wifey Works The Weekend

It is rare that my wife work's weekends. But this weekend it seems like the store where she works is more short handed than usual, and so they asked her if she could work both Saturday and Sunday, and she of course said yes. Well, I DO encourage her to accept overtime whenever it is offered. We're not poor by any stretch of the imagination, but whenever extra money is afforded I say take it and run. She is a pharmacy tech in the pharmacy at our local grocery store. She's been in pharmacy for about 32 years. 28 at Walgreen's and four years where she currently works. So, it looks like I will have a bit of a semi-bachelor style weekend. Well, truth be told I have not received the list of chores yet for me that I am sure she shall be presenting shortly. We'll see how much freedom I will actually have. Maybe I will get lucky and have lots of it. BTW, this is a very old picture of us taken probably 13 years ago.

What a lovely photo. I wrote a fictional piece about a guy left on his own for the weekend. It didn't go well for him. It's posted here as Black Sunday but it's in 7 parts as it is pretty long. You don't have to read it.

And yet...I will likely go looking for it. Sounds like an interesting read. Thanks for letting me on to it.

I had a semi-bachelor day too today. Wifey was away attending a seminar on how to teach Bengali in an English medium school. However, I had to stay home all day as I am a foster father to orphans.

Lovely photo there. Enjoy your weekend bachelorhood, but don't forget you're married! As I'm sure your wife will remind you with your honey do list.
