Random deal of the day

How’s everyone doing? It’s 630am on my day off and have been up since about 0230 sleeplessly which is unfortunate. At least I don’t have to work later.
I went to a Holiday gas station the other day (it’s a major chain gas station/convenience store in the United States, possibly just the Midwest?) and there was a clearance rack where I found some foaming hand soap for a buck. I was running low so I figured why not.
When I had it rang up by the cashier, she explained it was going to be 1 cent, sonce they were about to get rid of it anyway. Huhwhat? It was just marked down to the dollar but I didn’t argue. I had never heard of that and am still wondering if it is legitimate or not.
Have you ever gotten a deal like that? Or any good/random/weird deals lately?

That is a pretty good deal and I too love the foaming hand soaps. I get all mine at the dollar tree when they have em.

That is the best deal that I have ever heard of. Here, we rarely have those kinds of deals
