Happy Tuesday Everyone!
It's a bit cloudy here this morning but it's gotten warmer once again. I had to put the a/c back on which is a huge disappointment. I'm going to bet that we won't see much fall weather and the few nice cool days were just a tease. I have a feeling we'll go straight into winter and I'll just click the thermostat from a/c to heat.
Other than the crazy weather life is back to normal here today.
My daughter went to work and she wasn't thrilled at all having to do that commute after being off and on vacation for over a week. I'm sure by the end of the week she'll be back in the groove. I'm just hoping she didn't find a pile on her desk of things that didn't get done while she was away.
For me, my day started off the same.....shower, dressed, coffee, dog walked, read a few chapters in my book and now ready to myLot for awhile.
I have lots of notifications to catch up on since the past two days I haven't spent much time here.
So, my friends, hope everyone is having a good day and can find something to smile about.

It's been warm/hot here. I still hope it becomes cooler weather soon. I'm going read my book later. It's very addictive.

@Marilynda1225 I was reading Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. I finished reading it last night so today Ti'm reading Miss Pregrine's House for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

Going back to work after a vacation is never thrilling. I'm sure she will get back in the groove immediately.
It must have rained a bit here last night, but the sun has just come out. It has been mild during the day and cool enough to sleep with the a/c off and windows opened at night.
I di my usual this morning. You know - walking, coffee with the girls, and then a class at the gym. I already had my coffee with the girls, so I'm done for the day.

My daughter texted me earlier and said she had a decent day and it wasn't too bad. I'm sure she'll be passed out cold once she eats dinner from getting back into the swing of her long commute and being at her desk all day.

I hope that the pile of work on her desk isn't too impossibly tall.
Its a bit warmer here today as well, but its cloudy and wet, like it rained earlier this morning while we were sleeping.
We're in for rain again on Thursday or Friday, but they are calling for a nice sunny long weekend. And my daughter-in-law and I have been busy trying to arrange things for Thanksgiving. I just went out and bought a ham, as her brother-in-law doesn't like turkey and prefers ham. Plus most people like a second meat, and ham is a crowd pleaser.

Ham is always a good second meat. Occasionally we'll add ham too depending on the number of people who will be attending.

@Marilynda1225 There will only be 7 adults and 4 children, but there is 1 person who doesn't like turkey. And her family eats so much differently then we do. I asked about a pumpkin pie, which in our family, is a staple at the Thanksgiving table. She told me to bring one if I'd like because our son likes it. I cannot remember what they enjoy for their dessert for Thanksgiving.
I printed off some pictures for the girls to colour while we visit.

@Marilynda1225 I like cold nights, the mornings are now pretty cold, I do not go out for the morning walk now, I go later in the afternoon.

It's crazy that we're still getting temperatures that are more like summer than fall. I love a cold night as it just makes for better sleeping.

Its cool enough here not to need it.
They are talking snow in the mountains here on next Monday the 7th.
Hope your daughter gets back in the groove then.

I read that book and it was good. I liked it better than the movie but since you saw the movie I hope it doesn't spoil the ending.
I'm reading Shelter In Place by Nora Roberts. I have't read one of her books in ages

I'm beginning to make headway with tidying up the filing cabinet and all the pamphlets and information I've collected from our various trips. There is so much of it but I want to reduce it to something more manageable.

I am sure she'll get by. As for me, I went out today to meet up with my partner in crime. He gave me two kilos of mangosteen and a brand new USB cable for my iPhone. We had our lunch at Gringo, a restaurant that serves authentic Mexican cuisine. Then we had some oolong milk tea at Tea Ren's, a milk tea shop that has originated from Taiwan.It was a great day, indeed.
