Sprung a leak

Sprung is such a fun word, it is a shame that if something has sprung it only causes a sprang of sweat as you spring to action. We are getting part of hurricane Rosa so it is raining a lot. My mom and I were planning on going for a walk to the mall and to do some Halloween shopping, but this morning as she was walking to the store to pick up some things the water was up to her ankles! So now that everything is flooded we can't go. Oh well, that is okay, nothing like a cozy day in with it all rainy. We have leaks in our roof, my house is old and has many things wrong with it including leaks. No we cannot get them fixed. We had a person come out here many years ago and he said that he would never let someone go on our roof, not even his worse enemy because that would probably cause severe injury or death. So we have plastic on our ceiling to catch the water. As I was out there in the kitchen where most of the leaks are because that was where our swamp cooler used to sit, one of the leaks...sprung a leak! It has been raining so hard that, that leak managed to fill up almost 2 inches of a 5-gallon bucket in just a few minutes. That is insane. Hopefully, it has calmed down a little bit, my old house doesn't need any more damage.
