the gloomy skies

The low pressure area that turned to a tropical depression, and later on developed into a super typhoon is now heading to the northernmost island of the country where it will make its exit on Friday, without making its landfall in any part up north here. We are therefore experiencing windy, drizzling, and cold temperatures now and the gloomy skies are not leaving us. This morning, it drizzled while my sister was out. Now, the gloom is more severe, and it rained at intervals. I hope the typhoon named Queenie won’t shift course and drop by here because some of us have not yet gotten over the recent typhoon Paeng. Nobody here wants to have power disruptions again. The winds and rains are the outskirts of typhoon Queenie. Since Queenie should leave the Philippine area of responsibility on Friday, I think the residents here are hopeful the rains and winds will not continue or get severe. How is your weather out there?

There is sudden heavy downpour yesterday. That causes some flood in some areas. Today is somewhat gloomy

the gloom is still here but the sun is shining brightly in some parts of the sky here. i know with just an hour of heavy downpour, floods do happen now.

@ridingbet Regarding the tsunami affected, it was located on the island of Sulawesi (not too far from the Philippines), and I was on the island of Java but had to be vigilant too.

@DianneN indeed. now, i prefer to hand fan myself or stay in a place near where our fan rotates. it is better than the cold temperature brought about by the winds and rains of the typhoon.

They were occassional rains here but not worst compare to what happened to Indonesia. Let's just survive this rain and prepare.

the disaster in Indonesia is so overwhelming, it is as if all natural calamities were centered toward that island.

We had rain last night and did not last an hour. The today's weather is too hot. For sure clothes will get dry right away.

having a very hot day is better for those who wash their clothes. i like the scent of sun-dried clothes even without fabric conditioner
