This is so sad I was just on Facebook and saw her post her and her boyfriend was married September 22nd and her friend took the pictures sh asked everyone else not to take pictures because it was taken care of. Her friend put her camera in her vehicle and locked the car and someone broke in and took the camera with all her wedding pictures and wallets with money and gift cards in it. Now she is glad that some of her friends did not listen and took pictures on their phones so she at least has those. They are not going to press charges they are just asking that the camera with all the pictures be returned. This made the news where they live this just makes me so sad someone would be so stupid to do this.

I find it strange that someone would ask people not to take photos at a wedding. Why shouldn't friends be able to have their own memories of the occasion? Perhaps he was hoping to make a bob or two from selling them on and knowing that he had the monopoly?

You are right I find that strange as well they would ask people not to take pictures. I am wondering if maybe they just didn't want the flash of all the cameras going off during the ceremony I can understand that. I hope the camera is found and the pictures are still on it. This camera was her friends work camera she really needs it.

@Tina30219 I agree with not taking photos during the ceremony - I wouldn't dream of doing such at a thing at a wedding. The cameras should only appear when the couple are outside the church.

For my first wedding, we put disposable cameras on everyone's table and used those. It helped out so much, but this was before the phones we have now. I am glad some people took photos still for their sake.

That is priceless to the people concerned but utterly useless to those crooks and would probably end up in the land fill or incinerator, memories lost forever so sad, it's irreplaceable.

I agree it is definitely not replaceable. Hopefully it was taken to a pawn shop to try and get some money from it and if so that the pictures are still on it. They are going to all the pawn shops and checking them out to see.

@Tina30219 if the thieves are wise they would delete it to clean their tracks and erase evidence, hope they are in a hurry and did not bother to.

That is such a shame and the photos are irreplaceable really. I hope the thief has a change of heart and gets the camera back to her.

That is horrible! I am sorry to hear that. It can be the most amazing day for some and not having those memories is heartbreaking.
