Chilling on a Hot Fall Day

I am chilling here in the kitchen on a hot fall day while the BBQ chicken legs are baking and the purple hull peas are simmering. Shortly I will get rice cooking and hope the house stays cool.
I will have to go out shortly to take the garbage can down the alley way to its spot or pick up in the am and feed the feral kitties which my brother-in-law loves as there are fewer squirrels robbing his bird feeders. (I like them too as this is the first winter, spring and summer I haven't seen mice in the house)
Hopefully fair week in 3 weeks brings a break in temps,

That's one positive thing about the feral cats. I'm glad the mice population is depleted. I hope your supper was good, and hope for a break in your temps soon.

Having a few cats around usually helps with keeping the rodent population in control.
